This is not my favorite Dr. Seuss book but our grandson seems to like it. He has other Dr. Seuss books that I like better.
I read this book to my children when we acquired our first, but not long lasting, pet fish. They loved it and always had a copy of it nearby, just in case they needed the comfort it brought to them. I bought this copy for my grandson who I just visited, book in hand, and he commanded me to read it multiple times during the weekend. I'm sure the book will outlast his fish.
Charming illustrations and humorous story. Not endlessly rereadable but still good. Great for making transition to slightly longer stories.
This was one of my favorite books as a child and got it for my children because they are always fighting over who gets to feed the fish. My 3 year old son asks me to read it over and over and over.
The book was listed as "very good" instead I got a copy with the last three pages completely torn and missing about 1/3 of the page. Pages were dirty and the binding was falling apart. Very old damaged book that should never have been listed as "very good" quality. Disappointed that the seller would send this book out, it should have gone right into the garbage where I'm putting it now.
My two year old loves reading this book with me. He has his own goldfish and this book has taught him not to feed it too much.

My 3 year old got an aquarium and this book for Christmas and he loves it! We've been reading it every night. It will be a good starter book for him to read when he's learning.
