I read about half this book and while the actual food advice is neither here nor there (I didn't really learn anything new), the prayers at the end of each chapter were too much. As someone else here said, it seems that the author has never had a weight problem himself and as such I find his advice and self-deprecating prayers unrelatable. Instead of focusing on healing your food lusts, you are left with the feeling of failure and self-hatred, which is really disappointing because the author tries so hard to tie his message with Jesus' life.
Whether everyone feels comfortable with this book and the information it contains - OR NOT, It is all true. I waited a long time to look at this avenue of my life and I wish I hadn't. Read this book. It is a health message worth reading.
I'm having trouble staying interested in this book. I have not completed it yet. I got the impression as I started to read it, that the author never had a weight problem in his life.
I wish I could give less than one star.This book is the worst written, least helpful, most condemning thing I’ve ever read. Excrement has more integrity than this volume.
